Building the Strongest Pavilion in Another World
Chapter 81: Is this Really a Mage?!
"This man has crippled both of my brother’s arms, and I’m going to take his life in return," James said in a calm tone after regaining control over his emotions. However, although he spoke calmly, there was a determination behind his words that made it clear he would not be refused.
The Eldest Prince could not help but look displeased. With his status, in the whole of Dragon City and everything under its jurisdiction, aside from the Demon Suppression Office, the top families, and a few rare geniuses of the same level, who would dare not give him face?
"James, you have overstepped your bounds!" the Eldest Prince said coldly. Though he was not the Lord of the city yet, at a certain level, he could already represent the ruling family. Any words he spoke carried enormous weight behind them, so how could they simply be ignored?
"Pft, he crippled my brother, and I will take his life in exchange. Isn’t this fair?" James displayed his overbearing and unreasonable nature, not giving the slightest bit of face to the Eldest Prince at all.
"James, do you have any idea what you are doing right now?" the Eldest Prince asked. He was also angered now.
Any land under the skies was under Imperial authority, and everything under Dragon City was at his beck and call. Who would dare to disobey the words of a future Lord?
"I have long heard that the Eldest Prince was a Core Disciple of Dragon City Academy in the previous generation. Please allow this James to experience your ability," James said.
While Dragon City wasn’t considered particularly large or powerful, it was by no means weak. Since it bordered demon territory, almost all geniuses and people seeking to grow stronger would flock to Dragon City Academy for experience and fame. This was a place where ambitious cultivators naturally gathered.
Although this situation was mainly due to the Sanctuary’s lack of fame on Earth, and the fact that Earth’s powerhouses looked down on the demons here, claiming that the real danger lay within their own lands first. Resources could wait; first deal with the problems in their territories, then deal with the threats inside this mini-world.
The area erupted in an uproar. James was actually challenging the Eldest Prince!
Putting aside the Eldest Prince’s status, when he left the Academy two years ago, he was already a Core Disciple. Though he had yet to break through to the Celestial Human Realm, he was definitely in the ninth layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm. Added together with his talent in cultivation, he was practically invincible within the Acupoint Qi Realm.
In the current Dragon City Academy, the Third Prince was considered the strongest student, but he was only in the seventh layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm. Even he would most likely lose against the Eldest Prince. James was merely a True Disciple who had recently gained some attention from the elders of Wolf Fang Guild, so where did he get the courage and confidence to think he was worthy of opposing the Eldest Prince?
Some people even started speculating that Wolf Fang Guild was planning something major against the ruling family of Dragon City, otherwise James wouldn’t dare create such a scene, just like his brother Cody.
The Eldest Prince could not help but grow even angrier. This James not only dared to disobey his commands, but even wanted to challenge him. He was indeed outrageously bold. However, as the Eldest Prince, he was a very composed person and naturally did not show any sign of emotion on his face as he calmly asked, "You really want to challenge me?"
"Please!" James said decisively. The aura from his entire body surged outward in a wave, emanating a powerful might.
"Seventh layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm!" The Eldest Prince could not help but look astonished. How had James risen to such a formidable height in such a short period of time?
"What? Seventh layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm? Really?"
"Since the Eldest Prince has said so, then it is most likely true."
"No wonder he actually dared to challenge the Eldest Prince; so he is in the seventh layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm."
"That’s not right. Even if he is in the seventh layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm, so what? That’s the Eldest Prince!"
"That’s true. I really don’t know what backer Wolf Fang has. Could it be that some conglomerate power on Earth has set its eyes on the Sanctuary?"
All of the spectators were exclaiming in surprise. That was the seventh layer of the Acupoint Qi Realm, and James had actually caught up with the Third Prince. But when one took into account James’s young age, he could definitely be considered the most talented and strongest genius of Dragon City.
"No wonder you dared to challenge me!" The Eldest Prince’s expression darkened as he said, "Then, make your move!"
Without any reservation, James leaped forward in the Eldest Prince’s direction. He did not use his saber, but simply unleashed a barrage of punches. A layer of silvery light wrapped around his fists, exuding an unusually powerful aura.
"Using fists in front of me?" The Eldest Prince humphed, and a cold light flashed through his eyes. He similarly attacked with his fists. It was as if a king had arrived, causing an irrepressible pressure to rise in everyone’s hearts. They all felt the urge to kneel down and declare themselves loyal subjects of the Eldest Prince.
Son of Heaven Fist Technique!
Peng, peng, peng, peng. The two of them clashed endlessly, and the Eldest Prince visibly held the upper hand.
His cultivation level was higher, his power was greater, and the Son of Heaven Fist Technique surpassed James’s martial arts technique in terms of grade. If he was still unable to gain the advantage with all these factors in play, then it would truly be illogical.
Darius’s eyes narrowed slightly. Looking at the silvery light exuding from James, he murmured to himself, "Something is wrong... is this really a mage?"
