Armed Train in the Apocalypse
Chapter 601 - 362: Four Dimensions
The raging energy stream churned various mushrooms into liquid, mixed with old corpses to brew a delicious mushroom meat soup, surging towards the train.
The armed train shook violently, with slight bends appearing at the connection of the compartments, and the train head gradually retreated. However, the tall figure on the roof stood unwavering like a rocky outcrop, with energy patterns faintly visible below its collar.
"Seems like... I put in too much force?"
The train captain scratched his somewhat disheveled hair, feeling slightly embarrassed.
Unfortunately, no one could answer him.
As the storm calmed down a bit, Su Huan spread the "pan-energy perception" forward. Thanks to the previous explosion, the suppression of his perception by the mushroom forest had greatly reduced, allowing him to cover an area of three kilometers.
The vast majority of pan-energy reactions had disappeared, but there were still scattered around, adding up to more than a thousand.
"Didn’t quite get them all, should I try again?"
Su Huan hesitated as he muttered to himself.
He Jie had just climbed out of the compartment, his head throbbing, and shouted, "Wait!" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Su Huan turned his head to look, "What’s up? There’s still some time before they gather."
The energy storm completely ceased, and the mushroom forest and fungus carpet that blocked out the sky had vanished, transforming into a nearly 1-kilometer diameter pit. Dark red mushroom liquid slowly refilled around the pit as puppets manipulated by corpse mushrooms gathered once more.
The rear hatch opened, and Lin Jin and others emerged in power armor, falling silent as they looked at the scene before them.
He Jie gulped, "How big is the output range of your skill?"
Su Huan thought for a moment, "That depends on how fast I run."
"Run?"
He Jie was somewhat puzzled.
"I can choose any point within a kilometer and trigger ’fusion.’ If I want the explosion to cover two kilometers, to avoid getting hurt, I’d need to run back at least five hundred meters. As for three kilometers... three kilometers won’t work, given the complexity of the terrain, I can’t run 1.5 kilometers in six seconds yet. And I’ve never tested the intensity of a three-kilometer explosion; it’s quite risky."
Su Huan calculated by intuition, although he had wanted to blow the entire Spore Zone sky-high, his instincts told him it would be certain death.
While they were talking, controlled mutant beasts stepped out of the mushroom forest, still bearing the wounds from the explosion.
They were the batch nearest to the violent train, and also the farthest from the explosion point, so they survived by luck.
As for the two butchers at the train head, they were accidentally hit by the energy triggered by Su Huan.
He Jie estimated the distance, speaking solemnly, "You’ve already done a lot; leave the rest to us."
Mountain Goat nodded furiously beside him, "Train captain, we want to fight too!"
Although they seemed a bit odd, the subordinates had a strong desire to fight, and Su Huan didn’t want to dampen their spirits, especially since most of the puppet heads had been cleared away. Leaving it to the troops was no problem.
Thus, amid the concerned gazes of everyone, he entered the train.
He Jie’s roar rang out faster than gunfire, and gunfire and steel performed a symphony atop the train.
Shells scattered as blood spurted; compared to Su Huan’s pure destruction, it was more intense with the fervor and life force of war.
The train started again, bypassing the pit, heading to the base ruins. Its speed, however, was much slower than when the train captain pushed it. There was no choice; Su Huan could keep going without rest, but the engine needed to catch its breath; at least two hours before they could use the berserk mode again.
Su Huan glanced at the chaotic train head, silently backing away, walked through the dining car all the way to the rear.
Inadvertently arriving at Yu Jing’s mechanical testing laboratory, he saw everyone busy tidying up scattered parts but didn’t interrupt. Tan Yunxi was there pointing at a pile of parts, scolding the researchers vigorously, wagging her big tail arrogantly.
Yu Jing was holding a stack of drawings, talking to AI Xiaoe in front of a monitor, seemingly checking some materials, looking very composed.
Perhaps it was his illusion; Yu Jing had grown even more beautiful, maybe related to Tier Two evolution.
She even exuded a dangerous aura he considered somewhat perilous.
Su Huan didn’t disturb them and went to Professor Ma’s laboratory. It’s tidier than a year ago, with various circuits neatly arranged. The students’ beds were no longer placed on luggage racks, but a variety of miscellaneous items still floated like a space station.
Professor Ma was circling a rock, with various sundries suspended around him.
Seeing him arrive, the old man showed a trace of surprise, "Train captain hasn’t walked around here for a long time."
Su Huan nodded, standing beside Professor Ma, scrutinizing the hundreds of floating components and asked confusedly, "What’s this?"
Professor Ma waved his hand gently and said warmly, "I was preparing a super-large permanent communication device, but the energy fluctuation outside was too strong, and it exploded."
Su Huan casually shifted the topic, "Any research findings on this rock?"
"More in terms of utilizing the rock itself; I haven’t figured out the principles inside yet. Old Xu, however, has achieved a breakthrough, although I haven’t fully understood it either."
Professor Ma walked to a cabinet fixed in the compartment, opened it, extracted a file, and handed it to Su Huan.
Su Huan originally intended to refuse. He was never fond of those obscure symbols, although with his current mind, he could easily grasp basic knowledge again. But the things Professor Ma and others presented were never basic.
Yet, as his gaze swept over the paper, the patterns instantly captured his attention.
